2018 ABC Arkansas Chapter’s Excellence in Construction Award for Healthcare Project

The WER and HDR Team began working with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on a renovation and expansion for a new Family Medical Clinic in Fort Smith in 2014.

The finished Family Clinic is 34,000 square feet and features four pods each containing 12 exam rooms, staffed by two care delivery teams.

In addition to the exam rooms, each pod contains a Team Room, Consult Room, Precept Room, Vitals Area, and separate rooms for clean supply and soiled holding.

Specialty rooms consist of X-Ray, Immunization, Lab, Procedure Room and Cardio Procedure located along the public concourse that will link each of the four pod waiting spaces.

The new UAMS West Family Clinic opened in the Spring of 2017.
