Cleveland Ohio – WER Architects (Little Rock, AR) has received an Outstanding Project Award in Learning By Design Magazine’s Fall 2024 Architecture and Interior Design Awards of Excellence.
WER Architects, in association with Pfeiffer Partners, design of the Windgate Center for Fine & Performing Arts in Conway, Arkansas has been recognized as an award winning benchmark facility for its incorporation of next generation learning space design and planning methodologies. The built environment characteristics found in this project are worth of replication by other educators and design professionals who create, have oversight of, and operate spaces for learning. All submissions to the Fall 2024 awards program were peer-reviewed by a jury of vetted education design professionals.
“This project adds immense value to the campus. I particularly love the fine arts library, which exudes timeless comfort. The theater’s interior pays homage to simpler times while embracing modern sophistication – a successful nod to history in a state-of-the-art facility. The commitment to sustainability and WELL design strategies is commendable. The integration of the university with the surrounding community will make this facility a valuable resource. The use of wood and strong color accents enhances the overall design.”
