WER Announces New Hire, Architect Aaron Sanderson

WER Architects/Planners is pleased to announce the hiring of architect Aaron Sanderson. Aaron joins our firm from Columbia, Missouri. He has been in the profession for over 9 years; with the majority of his project experience includes healthcare clinics, banks, retail and higher education facilities. Born out of his family’s experience in the construction trades, Aaron has a strong penchant for the practical, detail side of architecture. Working in a smaller firm setting in Missouri lended itself to Aaron taking on a great diversity in roles, and helped him to acquire a unique perspective of the management tasks required from the big picture overview, down to the day-to-day details.

“I am passionate about architecture and enjoy using my technical insight in problem solving for clients,” said Aaron. “We are thrilled to welcome Aaron to the WER team,” said David Sargent, AIA, WER Architects/Planners CEO. “We know his experience in healthcare and educational facilities, along with his energy and passion for the industry, will be a wonderful asset to our team and clients.”

Aaron is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and is a registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. He was a part of the winning team of the Historic American Building Survey Charles E. Peterson Prize for the Samuel G. Wiener House (HABS LA-1362) published in the Library of Congress, and has been a part of the team for numerous AIA design awards. Aaron enjoys taking part in beneficial community service actives such as Canstruction, a unique charity which hosts competitions, exhibitions and events showcasing colossal structures made out of full cans of food. At the end of the event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations.
