Conway High School Recognized In Learning By Design Spring Edition
WER Architects is excited to announce that Conway High School was awarded with a 2014 Learning By Design Outstanding Project Award. WER designed and completed Conway High School in two phases, all built on the existing site of the school. The end product has a collegiate feel to the overall design, but also brings color, vitality and needed social student interaction spaces to the campus; aspects that had very few opportunities for such in it’s previous configuration. Conway High School now has 10 fully dressed science labs, learning commons, visual arts studios and a lecture hall which all provide flexible teaching environments that allow students the opportunities for interaction, exploration and engagement, beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Learning By Design is an educational design magazine, published twice a year, that recognizes the nation’s preeminent architectural firms by publishing outstanding pre-K – 12 and college/university projects. WER was also recognized in 2011 by the publication for the Episcopal Collegiate Lower School. To see the full Spring 2014 issue, click here.
