The 14-acre site located in West Central Pulaski County has a wide range of topographic features with a mature stand of timber that played a large part in the development of the site, program and buildings. 

WER and the building committee instituted three themes for the school’s curriculum to be incorporated in building and site design: E3 = Economics x Environment x Expression. The program was split into two buildings - a classroom building and an activity building. 

The classroom building is two stories to minimize the impact on the site. It houses classrooms, administrative areas, a media center, science lab and an art lab. The floors are connected with a monumental stair in a rotunda that visually links the two floors. 

The activity building, connected by a covered walkway to the classroom building, houses the cafeteria with a stage, drama room and a second art room with gallery space.
